Rachel Reider founded her Boston-based interior design firm in 2006 with the ambition of using global influences to push the boundaries of modern design.
Though modern style wasn’t prevalent in New England then, Rachel Reider Interiors steadily gained eminence and awards by creating clean-lined spaces that were layered, warm, and inviting.
With that reputation, we caught the eye of our first hotel client, who wanted to give their guests a comfortable feeling of home.
Back then, the boutique hotel industry didn’t exist–there wasn’t a playbook for a mid-priced hotel aimed at design-conscious travelers. We took that first project and went on to design 22 more original and award-winning hotels, setting the pace in the Northeast for both modern interior design and boutique hotel development.
What we couldn’t have anticipated is how our experiences in both high-end residential and hotel design have substantially strengthened the quality of the other.
Applying our knowledge across both categories results in new home design that elevates your experience of life, making each day a little more wonderful than you expected.
We are now called Reider + Co, an acknowledgment of the team size and skill level required to manage expansive new build homes and site-specific hotels. From start to finish, you receive the care and attention of your dedicated team.

The pandemic changed how we all live in our homes. We see our clients launching ambitious home projects, purposefully reassessing their families’ long-term needs. At the same time, continuing supply chain issues necessitate expert project oversight.
In response, I have built a best-in-class team to meet your future design needs. I lead the creative charge for the duration of your project. Your home design is then perfected by your dedicated team of specialists in operations, project management, and procurement. We handle everything, so you can focus on creating new family memories.

Rachel partners with clients to elevate their family's experiences in their primary and vacation homes. Her Boston-based firm, founded in 2006, is renowned for creating experiential home designs and infusing comfort into high-design hotels. With a portfolio that includes 22 acclaimed boutique hotels and numerous large-scale family homes, Rachel and her team synthesize expertise from both types of projects to deliver innovative and customized solutions for every project. As a mother of two, she is highly attuned to the practical needs of families and takes great satisfaction in serving clients over many years and many homes.

Carla brings exceptional organization and client-focused care to Reider + Co. As Rachel's right hand, she enables the Design Team to excel in crafting exceptional homes. With 18 years at the Harvard Club of Boston, Carla's expertise in managing VIP clientele and multimillion-dollar budgets ensures a seamless experience for our clients. As the first point of contact, she nurtures client relationships and fosters a positive atmosphere with thoughtful touches, like the team's favorite chocolate-covered sea salt caramels.
Kristina Ranaldi
Senior Interior Designer

Kristina leads Reider + Co’s boutique hospitality portfolio, guiding the design and execution of our distinctive hotel and restaurant projects. With a Master of Arts in Interior Architecture from UCLA and a perspective shaped by global travel, she brings a refined design sensibility to each project where vision, functionality, and detail are seamlessly aligned.
Kristina also directs the firm’s Newport, Rhode Island office, where her leadership has been instrumental in growing and shaping our presence in the region. From Newport, Kristina oversees Residential and Hospitality Projects throughout New England, approaching each with a commitment to thoughtful, highly tailored design.
Known for her strategic approach and steady leadership, Kristina excels in complex space planning, comprehensive construction documentation, and the seamless management of large-scale projects delivering environments that feel both elevated and enduring
Jake Falkenberg
Procurement + Logistics Coordinator

Jake’s journey into the design world began unexpectedly while working in a real estate office during high school. This early exposure sparked a passion that only grew stronger over time. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in Communications, Jake gained experience working with both residential and commercial design firms. In these roles, he honed his skills in operations management and vendor/client communications, ensuring seamless project execution. As a detail-oriented professional, Jake excels at organizing complex projects and fostering strong vendor relationships. Outside of work, you can find Jake experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, perfecting his baking skills, exercising, and traveling to new destinations
Erin Kelleher
Design Director

With a Master of Arts in Interior Architecture from the New England School of Art & Design, Erin brings her expertise in space planning and architectural design to Reider + Co. She perfected her craft working at other local high-end design firms throughout the Boston area.
Erin’s out-of-the-box thinking results in creative solutions, that feel both elevated and deeply considered. Her calm, steady presence fosters seamless collaboration with architects, builders, and trades, ensuring that even the most complex projects move forward with clarity and ease. She is particularly skilled in designing architectural details, drafting elevations, and developing precise furniture plans in AutoCAD, and she is an invaluable resource to the team with her extensive knowledge of vendors and sourcing.
As Design Director, Erin partners closely with Rachel to shape the creative vision and strategic direction of the firm. She leads with intention—balancing team workloads, optimizing project efficiency, and mentoring designers—while fostering a culture rooted in collaboration, creativity, and continued growth.
Kyra Wells
Intermediate Interior Designer

Kyra is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design where she studied Interior Design and Architectural History. Raised in New England and trained in the South, her creative work celebrates the best of both locales – precise detailing with imaginative flourishes. Previously at design firms in Florida and Boston, Kyra brings experience as both a project manager and an artist, as she ran her own business specializing in watercolor illustration and event stationery. She excels in sketching concepts, drafting furniture layouts, clever pattern play, and sourcing the perfect piece of artwork to tie a space together. Kyra leads with her optimism and is always looking for unexpected opportunities to infuse joy into a project.
