A Splash of Color

Many years ago, when our color-loving clients approached us to help them with their family home in the city, we jumped at the opportunity to embrace bold colors and patterns that many would shy away from. So when this family of 6 informed us that they had purchased a new Victorian-style home in the same neighborhood and sought our design support again, we couldn’t wait to get started. 

For this active family living downtown, they wanted to use dynamic colors to create a youthful yet sophisticated home. We knew from experience that nothing was off the table when it came to incorporating vibrant designs and a broad range of patterns, textures, and colors. We are always thrilled when clients share the same love of color as we do, so we went all in.

Before the design could be installed, extensive renovations were needed to meet the homeowner’s more functional needs. This included the creation and build-out of a pool room, sauna and cold plunge, extensive millwork throughout, and a new kitchen and baths.

Our approach to this design was to bring focus to the home’s unique architectural detail through the use of vibrant colors and bold, dramatic designs that reflected the adventurous taste and years of travel of these repeat clients. From stunning de Gournay wallpaper in the dining room to one-of-a-kind designed JD Staron carpets to custom Vanity & Co. vanities, we answered the call to go big or go home. Each room reflects our clients' love for color and pattern, blending luxurious details with a playful spirit that makes this home uniquely theirs.
