Refined Sophisticated Getaway

NEWPORT, RI

Having previously collaborated on three projects across two properties, we were thrilled to assist these Reider + Co. alums with the design of their new Rhode Island home. The home's large floor-to-ceiling windows and striking architectural details provided a unique canvas for our design, which aimed to create a harmonious, non-competing aesthetic that seamlessly transitioned from the interiors to the outdoor space. 

The project's goal was to carefully balance comfort and sophisticated design elements, creating an inviting space perfectly positioned for welcoming family and friends. These clients love to entertain, so our approach focused on incorporating storage and custom elements that allowed for more functionality while maintaining ease and interest for get-togethers, big and small. 

The design, anchored in a neutral palette, emphasizes textured and natural materials paired with a warmer palette, while wallcoverings and accent pieces help create depth and character. Statement lighting worked to balance the home’s high ceilings and draw the eye upward upon entry. This understated color scheme gives way to subtle yet sophisticated accents, honoring the home’s original architectural features.
