Over the last 18 years, Rachel has used her artistically innovative approach to modern interiors to deliver original, functional spaces that define destination design across New England. When it came to designing her family home, she was deeply intentional about the role that art would play in its overall aesthetics.
After falling in love with the home’s stunning Georgian Colonial architectural detail and strong bones, Rachel envisioned a design that would breathe new life into its timeless features by incorporating elements of warmth, functionality, and artistic expression.
Imbued with a perfect melding of rich jewel tones and soft, natural hues, the home’s design includes a moody dining room that seamlessly flows into a bright, airy, modern kitchen. Art is a prominent theme throughout the home, with custom installations, including 3-D glass pieces, wooden textile sculptures, and works on canvas, featured in the foyer, living room, and primary bedroom, reflecting Rachel’s deep-rooted love for exploring galleries and discovering up-and-coming artists.
The overall design offers a perfect balance of historic charm and modern sensibility, creating a warm, inviting, and comfortable space for an active family.
