Set in the heart of the city's elegant historic district, the newly renovated Attwater Hotel is where Newport's nautical history meets coastal chic.
The full-scale renovation included all 12 guestrooms, the lounge, dining room and café, hallways, sitting areas, and outside deck. When developing the design, the Reider + Co team drew inspiration from the city's unique characteristics. We wanted to infuse the hotel with Newport's nautical charm unexpectedly but without feeling overly themed.
Reider + Co’s design for The Attwater Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island has received national recognition, including being named one of Condé Nast Traveler’s World’s Best New Hotels. The vibrant boutique hotel has also been featured in leading design and travel publications including Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, and Coastal Living, highlighting its colorful interiors and fresh reinterpretation of classic Newport hospitality design.
