The goal for this historic boutique coastal retreat was to reimagine it for today’s modern living and the ultimate getaway.

Originally built in 1858 on the site of the former Falmouth Glass Factory, this property has long been a part of the Cape’s storied shoreline. Respecting this history, Reider + Co. collaborated with the Shore Haven Inn team to thoughtfully renovate and furnish the 21-room inn, restoring its charm while elevating the guest experience.

The design approach complements the relaxed seaside setting and encourages gathering throughout the day. The project included the full renovation and furnishing of guest rooms, bathrooms, and the hotel lobby, as well as the addition of a new breakfast room and lounge on the main level. Suites feature cozy living areas, kitchenettes, and custom amenities designed for comfort and connection.

A soft, layered palette with warm coastal textures brings a sense of place, ease, and authenticity to every space, while the pool deck, patios, and front lawn extend the experience outdoors.

Reinvented as a sophisticated coastal retreat, Shore Haven is ready to welcome the next generation of Cape travelers.
