Inspired by the surrounding salt marshes and natural environment, the design of our latest coastal hotel project departs from the expected beach-hotel blues and neutrals. Instead, the palette draws from muted oranges and purples found in the sunrise and sunset, complemented by beach-grass greens. Throughout the design, we will incorporate woven materials and textured glass to bring in subtle coastal elements.
The 39-room Queen Anne Inn spans three buildings, including a three-story main house and two cottage-style buildings with guest suites designed for two or three guests, each with a private patio. Within the main house, a grand lobby area flows into a guest lounge with a beautiful fireplace as a focal point for gathering. The common spaces will also include a breakfast room, a multi-use sunroom, and a large backyard with varied seating around the pool.
Together, the unexpected palette, thoughtfully designed guest rooms, and inviting gathering spaces will create a warm, modern, romantic, and collected look that reimagines this historic property.
