Reflection on 2024: A Year of Industry Accolades, Global Inspiration, and Exquisite Design

It’s become a tradition of ours to recap the highlights of months and years past. Reflecting not only inspires us but also fuels our creativity as we look ahead. Our first Journal of 2025 does just that. We hope it inspires you as well!

From celebrating industry accolades and innovative design projects to drawing inspiration from our travels and collaborations, 2024 was a year filled with growth, ingenuity, and memorable milestones.

Join us as we revisit some of the past year's Live Life Exquisitely moments..

Design Projects That Defined Our Year

A major milestone of 2024 was the completion of our A Multigenerational Ocean Oasis project located on the shores of Narragansett, Rhode Island. Many months in the making, an incredible collaboration with DiMauro Architects and Sweenor Builders brought this client’s vision to life within a newly constructed 10,000 sq. ft. coastal property where every detail was thoughtfully curated, balancing functionality with refined elegance.

2024 wrapped up with a reveal of our Artfully Modern Designer Enclave project, also known as Rachel’s home!  Rachel’s 18 years of expertise in modern interiors shines through in her family home, where art, function, and timeless design blend seamlessly. Be sure to catch the “look inside” her home and its stunning design here.

In other project highlights, we wrapped up this past year with a full house install at our #VibrantFamilyFocusedRenewal, Concord, and Chestnut Hill projects and continue to make progress through the new year at our #RefinedSophisticatedGetaway and #ASplashofColor projects. We can’t wait to reveal some of these projects in 2025. On the hospitality side, we are excited to continue working with the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club team after completing Phase 1, which gave this sprawling 5-star Coastal Hotel a much-needed refresh.

Places That Inspired Our Creativity

If you're a loyal R+Co follower, then you know how much we all love to travel and use it as a way to inspire new design ideas for our clients' homes. And in 2024, we logged a lot of miles!  The year started with Rachel’s annual trips to Big Sky, MT, and Rancho La Puerta Wellness Resort and Spa in Mexico. Other highlights include Rachel's travels in London, gathering inspiration before heading to Edinburgh for the Design Leadership Network Summit, attending elegant soirées, exploring local art and architecture, and reconnecting with industry friends. Meanwhile, Kyra embraced her artistic side on the picturesque Greek island of Andros, diving into workshops on painting and natural fabric dyeing. And finally, wrapping up the year, Rachel, Kyra, and Erin journeyed to North Carolina for High Point Market’s fall event, soaking in exciting new ideas and inspiration to elevate upcoming projects.  Closer to home, the team attended the 2024 Boston Design Week event at Landry & Arcari, where Rachel was part of a panel of fellow interior designers to discuss the brand-building experience.

Milestones and Recognitions

The year started with the exciting reveal of the new Reider + Co office space, which gave us a new look and tons of much-needed functional space. In early 2024, we also officially announced a special collaboration with Century 21 Mountainside Reality as their luxury interior design referral partner in Lincoln, New Hampshire, home to Loon Mountain.

Some press highlights for our hospitality design projects included HGTV Magazine’s spotlight on our Field Guide, which was also listed in Condé Nast Traveler’s best things to do in Stowe, VT, Wall Street Journal’s Style section highlight of the Cliffside Inn, and the Hawthorne Inn’s feature in Design Leadership Network’s latest book, The Living Room. On the residential side, our Throwing Boston a Curve was recognized in New England Home’s “Shift into Neutral” piece

and Boston Home’s Worth the Wait revealed Rachel’s home design project, Artfully Modern Designer Enclave.

We are incredibly humbled by the recognition of our work this year from across the industry. Modern Luxury Interiors Boston honored us as a 2024 recipient of the Best of Luxury Design Award for Hospitality Design, Design et al Shortlists two R+Co projects for the International Design & Architecture Awards, Gathering in the Great Room won a BRAGB Silver PRISM Award for Best Interior Design of a Private Residence, and our hotel partner, Lark Hotels, was awarded a prestigious Michelin Key for our The Cliffside Inn collaboration project.

Finally, we ended the year celebrating the launch of Boston Home’s winter issue with a breakfast where Rachel shared her insights on client relationships in another panel discussion. The issue announced the 2025 Best of Boston Home winners, including our award Boston Home’s Best of Boston Home® 2025 – Best Interior Designer, Contemporary. And we all got to raise our glasses with Boston Home magazine Editor Jaci Conry at Boston Home’s official celebration this past December.
